The twenty-sixth camp for plastic surgery and burns was concluded at Saleh Babaker Charitable Hospital in Wadi Al-Ain and Hura District in Hadhramaut Governorate, this Wednesday evening.
The camp lasted for three weeks, from September 16 to October 4 of the current year, 2023 AD. This camp comes within the framework of the projects of hosting, surgical camps and visiting doctors, which are implemented by the hospital with funding from the Sela Foundation for Development.
During three weeks, the camp hosted “Dr. Magdy Ibrahim Al-Sayed, Plastic and Burns Surgery Consultant – Arab Republic of Egypt,” where he performed many specific operations on a number of cases from various governorates of the Republic of Yemen, and included operations of cleft palate, cleft lip, facial and extremity deformities, and other deformities. After burns and operations to delay the opening of the penis, there were 76 surgical operations, all of which were successful.
It is noteworthy that the hospital has performed about “2,685” surgical operations in the specialty of plastic surgery and burns since its opening until 2023 AD, in twenty-six camps in the specialty of plastic surgery and burns.
